A Biblical overview of the Mission of the Messiah in his Second Coming

I. Bible Reading: 1 Cor. 15: 22-28

1 Co 15:22-28  “For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; then they that are Christ’s, at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power.  For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet.  The last enemy that shall be abolished is death. For, He put all things in subjection under his feet. But when he saith, All things are put in subjection, it is evident that he is excepted who did subject all things unto him.  And when all things have been subjected unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subjected to him that did subject all things unto him, that God may be all in all.”

II. Commentary and Reflections:

My bible reading today was 1 Cor. 15: 22-28. As I read these verses and reflected on HF’s heart these thoughts came to mind:

1 Co 15:22: “…as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.”

1.  Here I understood that the death brought about by the fall of Adam was reversed by the life of Christ .But what was so special about Lord Jesus short life that allowed him to overcome death itself qualifying Himself as a quickening spirit? I believe it was  His absolute faith,  absolute love, and absolute obedience to the will of God the Father in Heaven.

1 Co 15:23  But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; then they that are Christ’s, at his coming.

2a. Here, we also realize that the life or re-birth provided through Lord Jesus is but the beginning of a cosmic rebirth process, which in its conclusion will see every human being able to say: “If you see me you see the father or mother”. This extended rebirth of humankind as true children of God was destined to happen at the time of Christ 2nd Coming thus the phase: “…then they that are Christ’s at his coming”.

2b. Naturally the Lord’s presence in the 2nd coming would only be known to those with faith adequate to welcome Him. Today most Christians expect a magical 2nd coming, in the clouds, with trumpets blowing, etc (Mt 24:30-31; Rev 1:7). Most also expect the same Jesus who existed 2000 years ago to come again (Acts 1:11). The question is will he come in the flesh or as a spirit? All of this uncertainity about the Lord’s 2nd coming explains why He was worried about our faith in the end times (Lk 18:8). Note the bible warns that those who do not have the right faith at that time will not belong to Him and thus may be left out of the first resurrection (Rev 20:5,6).

2c. Today Unificationist worldwide stand as the only group of faithful Believers who can testify to the Rev Dr. Sun Myung Moon  as being the 2nd Coming of Lord Jesus Christ. He and His wife Dr. Hak ja Han-Moon have fulfilled the prophesy of Rev 21:1-3:

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth are passed away; and the sea is no more.  And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.  And I heard a great voice out of the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall dwell with them, and they shall be his peoples, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God:”

2d. They have proclaimed worldwide their victorious foundation as  “the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind", the living modern tabernacle of God on earth. While this may be difficult for those without faith to understand, the future will reveal their victory as a blessing for all humanity. During this seventh millennium of human history we will finally see the rise of God’s Kingdom on Earth. Aju!

3a. Those chosen ones who were blessed in Marriage by “the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind”(TP) are destined to be the first citizens of God’s Kingdom on Earth. The blessing engrafted us into the physical bloodline of God the Heavenly Parents through their earthly tabernacle TPs. Now our responsible beyond the blessing is to complete the salvation providence over the next 1,000 years by nurturing our families towards God’s ideal of life on earth for human beings.

3b. Our key focus in this task of nurturing is to protect our new bloodline by the proper use of the sexual organ. Beyond that we have to inherit God’s heart and character through the generations of our lineage.

3c. This is what the book of revelations alludes to in chapter 22 as the “River of water of Life”. Each blessed couple is like a water molecule (H+-O-H-) linked to the bloodline (lifeline-Oxygen)or loveline of TP. Their collective character, values and lifestyle will transform life on earth over the next millennium into the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. This will be the peace legacy of Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak-ja Han Moon

3d. The difficulty of establishing this legacy is why the bible warned that many will be called, but few will be chosen. Imagine how difficult it most have been for the Israelites to believe in Lord Jesus Christ 2000 years ago. Can anyone today seriously believe that a “Son of Man” today could be used as the living tabernacle of God the Father? This is why even amongst us as Unificationist, there are thousands who sadly lost faith along this road all because they began to judge TP and their family from a mundane viewpoint instead of preserving God’s viewpoint absolutely...quite like Ham judged Noah after the flood judgment.

1Co 15:24  Then cometh the end, when he shall deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power.

4a.  In Corinthians 15:24 we are informed of the last days as a time when Christ Jesus as “God the Son” will deliver up the Kingdom to “God the Father”. This last day period is a time when the Lord of the Second Coming, representing Lord Jesus in the flesh, stages the final battle against Satan’ s dominion of evil (D.O.E) on earth.  He will “abolish all rule and all authority and power”, meaning a gradual end to the current nation-state world order as a prelude for the New Jerusalem.

4b. This final struggle began 1960 with the victorious Marriage of Lord Moon to True Mother, Hak-ja Han-Moon. It lasted basically 40 years (1960 to 2000) until the turn of the 21st century. Nations around the world suffered through this period as the battle of Armageddon (what I call: Arm-age-Doom-Day On), or the 3rd World War (the Cold War struggle between global democratic nations abd Communism). We in Liberia felt its affect from 1979 to 2003 as our 3 stage civil conflict period.

4c. Signs of this victorious battle against evil on earth can be seen though the global spread of democracy as the sole type of governance on earth today. Democracy represents governance by the people, for the people and of the people. It represents humankind’s liberation from Satan’s dominion of evil, a type of new world order. All other governments will be dissolved, be they kingships or communism or dictatorships, etc. Heaven has given democracy and the voice of respect for Human rights and gender equality, as signs of Christ’s work to abolish all rule, authority and powers politically that are rooted in unrighteousness . 

4d. This sign will spread economically through the voice for the eradication of global disease, ignorance and poverty, coupled with the search for environmental sustainability and harmony. Finally it will spread spiritual through the call for greater unity and harmony amongst all faiths. As these three waves of freedom spread worldwide and a new world governing body is formed a new race of spiritually matured human beings will rise from amongst “the river of the water of life”. They will be the new Trees of life depicted in Rev. 22:2.

4e. Over the next 1,000 years these new citizens of what Father Moon calls Cheon Il Guk (CIG) will democratically establish one world family government centered on God’s Ideal of life.

1Co 15:25  For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet.

5a. This end time struggle began with the life and death of Lord Jesus Christ 2000 years ago. For Lord Jesus was the promised Messiah destined to build God’s Kingdom on earth by defeating Satan both spiritually and physically. Regrettably his early death at the age of 33 led only to the spiritual defeat of Satan. Over the past 2000 years from 4AD to 2004AD, He has worked through Christianity for the final last day battle to restore God’s physical kingdom on earth. From heaven he choose Rev Dr. Sun Myung Moon in 1936 as his 2nd Coming temple. Together they worked to complete the separation and salvation of humankind from the powers of evil not through the traditional Christian Churches as expected but through the new "Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity "

5b. This has been the key objective of the New Testament Age since 4AD. It ended 2004AD when Lord Moon proclaimed the beginning of the Age after the Coming of Heaven on Earth.  Now all enemies are under the feet of Lord Jesus.

1Co 15:26  The last enemy that shall be abolished is death.

6a.  The bible prophesied through this verse that the last enemy to be abolished during the last days will be Death itself. What does this mean? I believe this is referring to the resurrection of all humankind from the spiritual death caused by the fall of Adam and Eve as False (immature) Parents, through the love and blessing of Rev Dr & Mrs Sun Myung Moon as True ( mature) Parents.. Remember 1 Cor 15:22 starts with:

“For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.”

6b. Through the fall of Adam and Eve we all were born and raised as Satan children, full of lust, greed,  selfishness and corrupted beyond measures. The so call human nature we exhibit today is Satan’s nature not God’s. For our God is a loving being full of compassion, unconditional love, selfless and righteous. What we are is due to the death of our original parents. We were born of false parents (immature) not True Parents (mature). The fall of Adam and Eve led to their spiritual death not their physical death. Adam lived 900 years after he fell, yet he died in an instead when he ate the fruit (illicit use of his sexual organ).

6c. So the last enemy to be abolished is the spiritual death brought about by Adam and Eve’s disobedience. Lord Jesus will work through the Lord of the 2nd coming to provide a means for all humankind to be resurrected from the spiritual death caused by the fall. Unificationists call this the Holy Marriage Blessing! This simple but profound  marriage ceremony is the beginning of a three phase process meant to resurrect humankind from Satan’s lineage of living dead. Unlike mundane marriage ceremonies couples are brought together for eternity, not until “death due them part” as in Christian marriages. For Lord Jesus Christ, through Father Moon His second coming, has been able to conquer his final enemy death through the Holy Marrige Blessing Ceremony.

1Co 15:27  For, He put all things in subjection under his feet. But when he saith, All things are put in subjection, it is evident that he is excepted who did subject all things unto him.

7a. In verse 27 Paul is revealing another profound secret regarding the relationship between Lord Jesus as “God the Son” and the Lord of the Second Coming as “God the Father”. To understand this secret we need to go back to Rev. 21:3-8:

“And I heard a great voice out of the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall dwell with them, and they shall be his peoples, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God: and he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more: the first things are passed away. And he that sitteth on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he saith, Write: for these words are faithful and true.  And he said unto me, They are come to pass. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit these things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part shall be in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.”

7b. Here we are told that in the last days God will appear on earth in the flesh through His tabernacle. Remember in 1 Cor 3:16 we are told that all of us as Christians are destined to be the temple of God functioning with His divine spirit in us. We originally  lost this value through the fall of Adam and Eve. Instead we became the temple or child of the Devil functioning with dead spirit in us. Lord Jesus came to reborn us to return to our original heritage as God’s children living in harmony with righteousness, but He was betrayed and murdered. Thus He left us with only spiritual salvation, which means the same dead spirits protected or redeemed the grace of Lord Jesus' blood.

7c. Now Revelation prophesied of the Lord’s return. It goes further by referring to the returning lord as two witnesses or two olive trees (Rev. 11:3-5). They will be given the power of fire from their mouths, representing the power of prophesy or divine revelation as new truth from God. Eventually it talks about the Marriage Supper of the Lord in Rev 19:7 after His birth and the final battle with evil (Rev 12-18). It concludes in 21-22 with the shocking news of the Lord and His bride as really the earthly representative of “God the Father” on earth with humankind!

7d. Of course this revelation is only for those with absolute faith to battle evil together with the returning Lord. For the fearful, unbelieving, etc. they will simply die in their faithlessness and learn the secret in the spiritual world. The bible calls this “the second death”.
 
1Co 15:28  And when all things have been subjected unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subjected to him that did subject all things unto him, that God may be all in all.

8. In conclusion we learn that “God the Father” embraces Lord Jesus Christ as “God the Son” with the great Victor’s honor. This was done between 2004 and 2010. Thus concludes the prophesy of 1 Cor. 15:22-28. May the blessing of the Lord be with you the reader.
